Aditya Birla Group has recently concluded its acquisition of full stake in KA Hospitality, as announced on Tuesday. This strategic move has resulted in the incorporation of four prestigious restaurant brands, namely Hakkasan, Yauatcha, Nara Thai, and CinCin, into its ever-expanding portfolio.
Established in 2011, KA Hospitality began its journey by introducing the home-grown brand CinCin and securing the franchise rights for the three renowned global restaurant brands. The pioneer venture, Hakkasan Mumbai, earned international acclaim as an award-winning establishment from London, boasting additional outposts across the Middle-East, Asia, and the USA.
In 2023, Aditya Birla Group successfully integrated KA Hospitality into its New Age Hospitality division, strengthening its position in the hospitality sector.
Following the triumph of Hakkasan, the company triumphantly introduced Yauatcha, London’s esteemed dim sum and tea house, to Mumbai. The resounding success of this venture led to its expansion into Bengaluru and Kolkata, further solidifying its reputation.
In 2017, KA Hospitality brought the essence of Bangkok’s revered Nara, a go-to Thai institution, to Mumbai. The restaurant offers a contemporary setting that perfectly complements the vibrancy of Thai cuisine, coupled with warm and authentic Thai hospitality, delighting patrons in the heart of BKC and Colaba.
As part of its strategic shift, KA Hospitality later shifted its focus to nurturing homegrown brands such as CinCin and cicchetti, further contributing to the growth of the culinary landscape.
