In a significant step toward India’s ambitious net-zero emission goals, Envision Energy announced its triumphant acquisition of a 653.4 megawatt (MW) wind energy project from JSW Energy. The project, set to be commissioned in phases by the end of 2024, is anticipated to generate a substantial 2,200 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean energy.
Envision Energy clinched the deal with JSW Energy for the development of a 653.4 MW wind energy park spanning across Karnataka and Maharashtra. The specifics of the project entail the installation of 198 cutting-edge EN 156-3.3 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs).
This collaboration with JSW Energy serves as a pivotal milestone in the journey to bolster renewable energy capacity in the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra, reinforcing their commitment to a sustainable and greener future.
While Envision Energy did not disclose the financial intricacies of the project, they emphasized the growing importance of cooperative efforts to accelerate the transition to green energy and address the looming climate crisis.
