Details of Hevells India & Blixt Tech Collaboration:
Havells India, a top manufacturer of electrical goods and appliances, has announced a new commercial agreement with Swedish tech startup Blixt Tech AB to bring Solid State Circuit Breaker (SSCB) technology to the Indian market.
This move strengthens Havells’ position in the switchgear segment and demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovative and forward-thinking solutions, according to a joint statement.
This collaboration positions Havells to have a significant impact on the Indian electrical industry, particularly as demand for high-power applications is expected to grow rapidly in the coming decades.
The power system is projected to become more technologically advanced, smart, and conducive to IT-enabled data sharing and management technology, according to Havells.
SSCB technology allows for much faster interruption of current flow than traditional mechanical circuit breakers, and there is no wear and tear due to digital switching with practically no arc, unlike traditional electromechanical breakers. This makes SSCBs a crucial technology for the industry, with versatile applications in power distribution, renewable energy, data centers, electric vehicles, and aerospace and defense.
Vivek Yadav, Executive Vice President of Havells India, said, “With this partnership, we are poised to make a significant impact on the future of the Indian and global electrical industry.” Trued Holmquist, Co-Founder and CEO of BLIXT, added, “Teaming up with the market leader in India will allow us to scale faster and reach a huge market in rapid transition. We believe the fit and timing is perfect, and together with Havells, we will be able to reach millions of customers who would benefit from this new technology.”
