Reliance Jio has announced that it is launching its True 5G service in 10 cities in India: Agra, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj, Tirupati, Nellore, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Nagpur, and Ahmednagar. This makes Reliance Jio the first and only operator to offer 5G service in most of these cities.
Jio is inviting users in the aforementioned cities to participate in its Welcome Offer, which allows them to access unlimited data at speeds up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost. This offer is available starting today.

The cities where Jio’s True 5G service has been launched are important centers of tourism, commerce, and education in India. The rollout of True 5G service in these locations will not only provide consumers with the best telecommunication network, but also open up opportunities for growth in fields such as e-governance, education, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming, healthcare, agriculture, IT, and small and medium enterprises.

Jio True 5G has several features that make it the only genuine 5G network in India:
- It uses a stand-alone 5G architecture, which means it does not rely on 4G networks.
- It has the largest and most diverse range of 5G spectrum across the 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands.
- It uses a technology called Carrier Aggregation to seamlessly combine these 5G frequencies into a single, powerful “data highway.”
Reliance Industries Limited’s shares were trading at Rs. 2596.55 on the BSE, as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2537.25. During the day, 298,492 shares were traded in over 22,874 transactions.
