The chargers will be set up in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.
In 2022, Statiq had already installed 200 chargers, including 130 of 3.3 kW and 75 of 7.7 kW capacity at HPCL’s outlets in various towns such as Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, and Varanasi.
“We are pleased to have won this tender and become a part of HPCL’s EV infrastructure-building journey,” said Aman Rehman, Head of Government Relations at Statiq. He also added that with the chargers now present at the petrol stations, EV users would be able to access easy and convenient charging options, similar to those provided by petrol and diesel vehicles.
