TVS Motor Company has unveiled its remarkable sales performance for September 2023, showcasing a substantial 6% growth in overall sales. According to an official press release from the company, the Indian two-wheeler giant successfully sold a total of 402,553 units in September 2023. This figure represents a noteworthy upswing of 23,542 units when compared to September 2022, which recorded sales of 379,011 units.
The growth trajectory for TVS Motor Company is reinforced by a 7% increase in total two-wheeler sales, marking a leap from 361,729 units to 386,955 units year-on-year (YoY). Within the domestic market, the company experienced a commendable 6% growth YoY.
Motorcycle enthusiasts can take particular delight in the fact that motorcycle sales surged by an impressive 10%. In concrete terms, TVS sold 186,438 units in September 2023, as opposed to the 169,322 units recorded in the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, scooter sales maintained their robust performance with an 8% YoY increase.
One of the standout stories in TVS’s September report is the meteoric rise of the TVS iQube Electric. The electric scooter witnessed a staggering sales increase from 4,923 units in September 2022 to a remarkable 20,536 units in September 2023.
TVS Motor Company’s global presence also shines as the company’s total exports registered an impressive 8% growth. Exports surged from 92,975 units in September 2022 to an impressive 100,294 units in September 2023. Two-wheeler exports were a standout, showcasing an 11% growth from 77,851 units to 86,462 units YoY.
In contrast, three-wheeler sales experienced a slight dip, with TVS Motor Company selling a total of 15,598 units in September 2023 compared to 17,782 units during the same period in the previous year.
