Crayons Advertising Files Draft Red Herring Prospectus for IPO with NSE Emerge

Crayons Advertising, a renowned advertising agency that provides a comprehensive range of services spanning brand strategy, creative solutions, events and activations, digital media, and traditional media planning and buying, has filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with NSE Emerge for its initial public offering (IPO). The IPO will comprise fresh issuance of up to 64,30,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs 10.

Founded over three and a half decades ago, Crayons Advertising is promoted by Kunal Lalani. The company has reported a net worth of about Rs 43 crore, a revenue of Rs 118 crore, and a profit after tax of Rs 6.55 crore for the period ended September 2022. Furthermore, the company’s earnings per share (basic and diluted) stood at 29.11.

Crayons Advertising has announced that the proceeds from the IPO will be utilized for building infrastructure and cutting-edge technology for expansion (Rs 15.28 crore) and funding working capital requirements (Rs 14.50 crore), as per a company statement.

Recently, the advertising agency won marquee mandates, including Tata Sons, National Skill Development Corporation, Indian Oil, TATA Croma, and Bank of Baroda. The agency’s mandate for the National Skill Development Corporation is to transform the brand notion and strengthen the connection with youth.

Crayons Advertising has also bagged the social media mandate for TATA Sons within the Tata Group Companies. In the past couple of years, the agency has handled and executed multiple prestigious campaigns for the Tata Group, including the Tata Mumbai Marathon campaign, which serves as a case study in awareness and engagement. Additionally, the company was appointed by Tata to launch the historic Air India transition campaign “Wings of Change” and handle Tata Croma’s creative mandate.

The Indian advertising market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 11% during the forecast period of 2022-27, as per Expert Market Research, and is projected to reach Rs 1.25 lakh crore by 2026. Corporate Capital Ventures is the book-running lead manager, while Skyline Financial Services is the Registrar to the issue for Crayons Advertising’s IPO.
