This GalaxEye-ideaForge collaboration on innovative technology aims to empower armed forces with the ability to peer through thick foliage and dense fog, revolutionizing surveillance in challenging operational environments.
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) FOPEN (Foliage Penetration) Radar is poised to usher in a new era of military capabilities, designed specifically for scenarios that demand seamless monitoring amidst natural barriers.
Combining Expertise for Unmatched Performance
In a recent announcement, GalaxEye revealed the details of this collaboration, highlighting ideaForge’s extensive experience in UAV technology. This expertise is set to complement GalaxEye’s cutting-edge Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology.
Addressing Critical Security Needs
The imperative to visualize beneath foliage and through fog has long been a priority for security forces. GalaxEye and ideaForge are committed to meeting this need head-on.

Enhanced Surveillance and Operational Advantage
The Foliage Penetrating UAV Radar system is poised to surmount challenges such as clouds, fog, smoke, mist, camouflage nets, and the thick canopy of trees that often hinder surveillance operations.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) also encompasses the creation of a high-resolution 3D imaging foliage-penetrating radar.
When integrated with a UAV, this radar will serve as an all-weather surveillance payload, offering real-time ground photography to identify objects concealed by foliage or camouflage.
