JSW Steel Records a Significant Rise in Crude Steel Production
JSW Steel, the flagship company of the USD 22 billion JSW Group, announced on Monday a 15% increase in crude steel production in January 2023, reaching 18.91 lakh tonnes. This marks a growth of 15% YoY compared to January 2022’s production of 16.46 lakh tonnes.
The company reported its highest-ever standalone crude steel production in January 2023, with an overall capacity utilization of 99%, compared to 96% in December 2022.
Flat-rolled product production also saw a 14% increase to 14.24 lakh tonnes, compared to 12.47 lakh tonnes in January 2022. Long-rolled product production also saw a growth of 14%, reaching 4.25 lakh tonnes, as opposed to 3.74 lakh tonnes in January 2022.
