This package encompasses the construction of viaducts, stations, major river bridges, depots, tunnels, earth structures, and other crucial auxiliary works, as stated in a recent BSE filing by L&T Construction.

The NHSRCL has already awarded contracts for constructing the Mumbai (BKC) station and 21 kilometers of tunnels, including an impressive 7-kilometer undersea tunnel in Maharashtra. Following the latest tender award, NHSRCL confirmed that all civil contracts for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor have been successfully allocated as of 20th July. Once completed, the High-Speed Rail is expected to operate at an impressive speed of 320 Kmph, offering swift travel between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, with the entire journey taking approximately two hours with limited stops or three hours with all stops, according to the press release by L&T.

Mr. S V Desai, Whole Time Director & Senior Executive Vice President (Civil Infrastructure), expressed his gratitude and excitement about securing this prestigious MAHSR project’s second-largest package. He emphasized the immense trust NHSRCL has placed in L&T.
