This latest range features Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) options with two different engine choices and improved Four Wheel Drive (4WD) options. The diesel-powered RWD models are powered by the new D117 CRDe engine that generates 117 BHP and 300 Nm of torque (87.2 kW@3500 rpm) paired with a manual transmission. The gasoline-powered RWD variant comes equipped with the mStallion 150 TGDi engine, which offers 150 BHP and 320 Nm of torque (112 kW@5000 rpm) and is paired with an automatic transmission.

The new Thar lineup is incredibly accessible to a wide range of buyers thanks to its attractive starting price of ₹ 9.99 Lakh.
