Navin Fluorine to Set Up Rs 450 Crore Hydrofluoric Acid Plant in Gujarat

Speciality chemicals company, Navin Fluorine International, announced on Friday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Limited (NFASL), has approved a capital expenditure of Rs 450 crore to set up a new 40,000 tonne per annum hydrofluoric acid capacity plant in Dahej, Gujarat.

The new plant aims to cater to the increasing demand for fluorochemicals in the pharmaceutical, agro-chemical, and renewable energy sectors. It is expected to commence operations in two years and will be funded through a combination of internal accruals and debt.

Navin Fluorine reported a 55% surge in profit, amounting to Rs 106.6 crore in its third quarter earnings for the fiscal year. Additionally, the margin showed a 160 basis point improvement at 27.6% compared to the same quarter last year.

The investment in the hydrofluoric acid plant is a significant step towards Navin Fluorine’s goal of expanding its presence in the specialty chemicals industry and strengthening its position as a leading supplier of fluorochemicals.
