Patel Engineering and its joint venture partner have secured a significant project in the hydropower and irrigation sector. The Department of Water Resources, Madhya Pradesh, has awarded the Rihand Micro Irrigation Project to the company, which was declared L1 earlier.
The construction project, which is worth Rs. 640 Cr, involves the development of a pressure irrigation system to supply water through the Rising/Gravity mains by pressurized pipeline system for micro irrigation in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The contract has been awarded on an EPC turnkey basis, and the construction is expected to be completed within 36 months.
As an 80% partner in the joint venture, Patel Engineering Limited’s share in the project is Rs. 512 Cr. The company’s specialized expertise in the hydropower and irrigation sector is expected to play a crucial role in the successful completion of the Rihand Micro Irrigation Project.
