Patel Engineering Emerges as L1 Bidder for NHPC’s Dibang Multipurpose Project
Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) has been named as the L1 bidder in the financial bid opening through e-reverse auction for the construction of civil works for LOT-4 of the Dibang Multipurpose Project. NHPC Limited had invited the tender for the project, which includes the construction of head race tunnels, pressure shafts, power house, and transformer cavern, among other things. The project is located in Arunachal Pradesh, India and is set to generate 2,880 MW of hydropower while aiding in flood control and water storage.
The Dibang Multipurpose Project is PEL’s latest addition to their order book, which predominantly consists of projects awarded by central and state governments or other government and public sector undertakings. The project is set to be executed over a period of 86 months, in a joint venture where PEL’s share is 50%.
