Powergrid’s Board of Directors Approve Investment for Eastern Region Expansion and Transmission System for Kurnool Wind and Solar Energy Zones
In a recent meeting held on 6th March, 2023, the Board of Directors of Power Grid gave the green light for two significant investment projects. The first project, Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX (ERES-XXIX), is estimated to cost Rs. 524.04 crore and is scheduled for commissioning by November 2025.
The second project approved by the Board is the transmission system for Kurnool Wind Energy Zone/Solar Energy Zone (AP) – Part-A & Part-B, estimated to cost Rs. 3546.94 crore and scheduled to be commissioned by November 2024.
