R R Kabel Limited, established in 1995, offers a wide range of electrical products for homes, businesses, industries, and infrastructure projects.
The company operates in two main sectors:
- Wires and Cables: This includes various types of wires such as house wires, industrial wires, power cables, and special cables.
- FMEG (Fans, Lighting, Switches, and Appliances): This category includes products like fans, lighting solutions, switches, and household appliances.
R R Kabel manufactures, markets, and sells its wire and cable products under the ‘RR Kabel’ brand, and its fans and lights under the ‘Luminous Fans and Lights’ brand.
In 2020, R R Kabel expanded its portfolio by acquiring Arraystorm Lighting Private Limited, which brought them into the LED lighting and related hardware business. This move enabled them to cater to office, industrial, and warehouse lighting needs. In 2022, the company acquired the home electrical business (HEB) of Luminous Power Technologies Private Limited. They also obtained a limited and exclusive license to use the Luminous Fans and Lights brand for fan and light products for up to four years, with an option to renew the license for an additional three months. This included access to 61 registered trademarks and a range of high-quality lights and premium fans, further strengthening their FMEG offerings.
R R Kabel operates manufacturing units in Waghodia, Gujarat, and Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu, primarily focusing on wire and cable production and switch manufacturing. Additionally, they own and operate three integrated manufacturing facilities in Roorkee, Uttarakhand; Bengaluru, Karnataka; and Gagret, Himachal Pradesh, where they produce FMEG products.
The company serves both domestic and international markets. In the three months ending on June 30, 2023, 71% of their revenue came from the wires and cables segment, and 97% of their revenue from the FMEG segment was generated through the B2C channel.
