RVNL Secures LOA for Mumbai Metro Line 2B Project:
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) recently informed Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) that it has obtained the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for the Mumbai Metro Line 2B project. The project entails “Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 2 nos. 110KV Receiving Substation including 110 KV, 33kV & 25kV cabling work, complete 25kV Overhead Catenary System along with Switching Station, 33Kv auxiliary power distribution system including 33/0.415 kV auxiliary sub-station (ASS), and complete SCADA system for mainline & depot of Mumbai Metro line 2B of MMRDA.”
According to the release, RVNL joined a consortium with M/s SIEMENS India Limited, with RVNL holding a 40% stake and M/s SIEMENS serving as the lead partner with a 60% share. The project is expected to cost around EUR 8,838,976 (without GST and customs charges) and Rs 300,11,81,354.
An important phase in the development of Mumbai’s transport infrastructure is the Mumbai Metro Line 2B project.
