SJVN Inks PPAs for 300 MW Renewable Energy Projects

SJVN Ltd, a renowned energy company, has successfully inked Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for its latest 300 MW Renewable Energy Projects. These significant agreements were signed by SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.

Under these PPAs, SJVN will execute a 200 MW Solar Power Project in Maharashtra, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) at Mumbai. Additionally, SJVN will undertake a 100 MW Wind Power Project in Delhi, in partnership with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).

The 200 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra boasts a development cost of around ₹1,200 Crores. SGEL secured this project at a competitive tariff of ₹2.90 per unit during an e-reverse auction organized by MSEDCL. The project is expected to be commissioned by December 2024, and it is projected to generate an impressive 456 MU in its first year of operation, with a cumulative energy generation of approximately 10,481 MUs over a 25-year period.
