Suzlon Secures Wind Energy Deal for 69 Megawatts

Suzlon, a provider of renewable energy solutions, has successfully secured an order for a wind energy project with a capacity of 69 MW from the Indian branch of a prominent Nordic Energy Company.

The company’s official statement confirmed the development of this 69 MW wind power initiative for the Indian subsidiary of the aforementioned Nordic Energy Company. However, the exact value of the order remains undisclosed.

Suzlon plans to install 23 wind turbine generators (WTGs) for this project, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW. These turbines will feature a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower design.

JP Chalasani, the Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, expressed great pride in the fact that a renowned Nordic Energy Company, known for its accomplishments in global renewable energy ventures, has chosen Suzlon as their partner for their inaugural wind energy project outside of Europe.

The project site is located in Karnataka, India, and its completion is scheduled for 2024. Notably, this marks the fourth order for the S144 – 140m model, a larger wind turbine variant from Suzlon’s new 3 MW series.

As per the agreement, Suzlon Energy will supply the wind turbines, oversee project supervision and commissioning, and provide ongoing operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.
