The India-based mining and metals company has informed the stock exchanges of the meeting’s agenda, and if the dividend is announced, it will mark Vedanta’s fifth interim dividend for the fiscal year 2022-23. In the previous four interim dividends, Vedanta declared a net interim dividend of ₹81 per share in FY23. The company has also announced the Vedanta dividend record date, set for April 7th, 2023.

In compliance with Regulation 29 of Listing Regulations, Vedanta Ltd has notified the Indian bourses about the proposed board meeting on March 28th, 2023. The meeting will consider and approve the fifth interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the financial year 2022-23. Vedanta’s communication also stated that the meeting will be held to inform and update the board on the company’s operational and financial performance. The announcement follows Vedanta’s successful declaration of four interim dividends in FY23, with a net interim dividend of ₹81 per share.

Vedanta Sets Record Date for 5th FY23 Interim Dividend

Vedanta Ltd has announced the record date for the fifth interim dividend in FY23, as per its communication to the Indian bourses. The record date has been set for April 7th, 2023, for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the dividend, if declared.

Vedanta’s communication also mentioned that the company’s dividend payout will be subject to approval by its board of directors. The announcement is in line with Vedanta’s commitment to keeping its shareholders informed and updated on its financial performance.

On February 3rd, 2023, Vedanta traded ex-dividend for the fourth time, for payment of ₹112.50 per share interim dividend. So far, Vedanta has declared a total interim dividend of ₹81 per share to its shareholders in FY23, showcasing the company’s impressive dividend history.
