Infosys Launches Private 5G-as-a-Service for Global Enterprise Clients
Infosys, one of India’s leading IT companies, has announced the launch of its Private 5G-as-a-Service to provide high-speed, low latency, and reliable wireless connectivity for enterprises. According to an exchange filing, the new offering will help accelerate digital transformation through 5G adoption and support businesses in their transformation journey.
The Private 5G-as-a-Service is a pay-as-you-go solution that can be customized to meet the specific needs of clients and is implemented in an agile and timebound manner. Infosys has pre-integrated the 5G stack from multiple product vendors and tested it against different use case requirements to reduce the complexity of deployment. Additionally, the 5G private network is managed using a unified management solution, providing real-time insights into its operation and performance.
The Private 5G-as-a-Service incorporates Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) technology to minimize network lag, enabling a more reliable network operation for high-bandwidth enterprise use cases such as remote-guided vehicles, drone-based real-time analytics, high-definition media & video analytics, metaverse solutions, and a variety of IoT/industrial IoT applications.
Infosys has collaborated with its partner ecosystem to offer reduced time-to-market and total cost of ownership of Private 5G rollout to its clients. The company is leveraging its global 5G expertise to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective Private 5G-as-a-service, with an agile delivery approach.
