Shares of NBCC (India) surged over 3% in early trade on March 15 as the construction company bagged orders worth Rs 500 crore from the Puducherry government. The company has been assigned the task of constructing a medical college and hospital to be operated by the government in Karaikal, Puducherry.
This recent win is a part of a larger list of orders worth a combined Rs 770.83 crore that NBCC (India) has secured this month in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. These orders will significantly enhance the company’s order book, which stood at Rs 54,600 crore as of February 24.
