NTPC has achieved a significant milestone in its Nokhra Solar PV Project situated in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project’s third segment capacity of 50 MW has been successfully commissioned, which has increased the total operational capacity to 200 MW. The commercial operation of the project’s first part capacity of 100 MW began on 20th December 2022, while the second part capacity of 50 MW commenced commercial operation on 30th December 2022.
As of 16th February 2023, the NTPC’s standalone installed and commercial capacity will increase to 58,979 MW and 58,319 MW, respectively. Moreover, the group installed and commercial capacity will increase to 71,594 MW and 70,934 MW, respectively.
NTPC’s Nokhra Solar PV Project is an integral part of the company’s strategy to increase the share of clean energy in its generation mix. This latest development underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable power generation while strengthening India’s energy security.
